- GS peer tutoring enhances student's academic experience but cannot replace classroom learning.
- GS pper tutors are trained to recognize and respect differences in culture, race, and gender and promote peaceful interactions among our students on campus.
- GS tutoring sessions are confidential.
- When scheduling a tutoring appointment, complete all necessary forms.
- Make every effort to keep all tutoring appointments.
- Arrive for tutoring sessions prepared and on time.
- Effectively communicate your needs to the peer tutor.
- Ask questions.
- See your instructor as frequently as possible.
- Treat with respect those with whom you come in contact.
- Schedule appointments with several peer tutors if necessary, until you find one who works best with you.
- Provide feedback to your peer tutors.
- Complete an evaluation form at the end of each semester.
- Remember that your opinion is very important to us.
