GS peer tutors are trained to promote independent and active learning.
GS peer tutors are committed to increase cooperation among tutors, students, and instructors.
GS peer tutoring enhances student's academic experience but cannot replace classroom learning.
GS pper tutors are trained to recognize and respect differences in culture, race, and gender and promote peaceful interactions among our students on campus.
GS tutoring sessions are confidential.

Helpful Hints

When scheduling a tutoring appointment, complete all necessary forms.
Make every effort to keep all tutoring appointments.
Arrive for tutoring sessions prepared and on time.
Effectively communicate your needs to the peer tutor.
Ask questions.
See your instructor as frequently as possible.
Treat with respect those with whom you come in contact.
Schedule appointments with several peer tutors if necessary, until you find one who works best with you.
Provide feedback to your peer tutors.
Complete an evaluation form at the end of each semester.
Remember that your opinion is very important to us.
